First big decorating night - Pittormie Farm plate

This post shows how the QR codes are printed onto the plate, using the laser cut foam stamps.

A square of white slip is painted where the QR code is to be drawn.

Water based block printing ink is rolled out on a flat non-porous surface.

The foam laser code stamp is inked up...

The stamp is pressed onto the white square.

... and there is the QR code. The type of black ink would disappear in a kiln firing, so the black will be etched out so that the dark clay is revealed through the white slip. In this way we can accurately draw the QR code.
