More clay drying

The Crail Beach clay was very difficult to dry out, since it didn't settle out of the water very readily. I think that means the clay particles are very fine. This is why I needed to get the pipes and stockings out...

The pipes and stockings are a device I made a while back. You can find an explanation of them here. The Reekies Garage clay was also difficult to dry out. The damp weather doesn't help.

The clay from the bottom of the bucket feels quite sandy, so I decide to dry that out first, keeping it separate from the silky smooth clay slip above it.
